About

About Us

We are the Aero Society of Automotive Engineers at the University of Delaware. We design, build, and test a remote control plane for the annual Aero Design East competition. This is an international collegiate competition centered around a few tests designed to test our plane in maneuverability, strength, speed, landing, and a special challenge.

Membership

We welcome all types of students at ASAE! Anybody can join UD's very own Aero Design team - whether you have no experience at all or have been building for years. We have non-mandatory meetings in Spencer Lab every week to work on designing and building the RC plane.

Events

Additionally, we will host a wide variety of events outside of our plane-building process. From pizza parties to aerospace guest speakers, to career-building events and opportunities to fly in real-world planes, there is a lot of exciting things going on at ASAE!

Communications (Discord, Email, etc.)

Most of our communications including meeting reminders, event announcements, and design updates occur in our Discord and email list. Please contact either Logan Dendorfer (locode@udel.edu) or Steven Giorgi (sgiorgi@udel.edu) to be added to our email list and Google Drive.
