National Student Speech-Language, Hearing Association

NSSLHA is the only national student association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Our chapter at UD is one of 319 independently operated chapters recognized by national NSSLHA. This allows us to have access to resources and information to succeed in the field of speech pathology and audiology. 

Here at UD, our goals are to create a helpful community for all students interested in the field of speech pathology and audiology. To reach our goal, we host regular meetings to help students with advisement, the graduate school process, and much more. We have a Mentor Program, in which we pair seniors with underclassmen to provide personal guidance for each student. We also hold fundraisers and socials each semester to keep our members active and engaged! 

Most of our members are majoring in Cognitive Science with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology. Members of our chapter at UD can also become a member of National NSSLHA to gain access to more resources, but it is not a requirement.
