Society for Human Resource Management Student Chapter at the University of Delaware, The

The SHRM Student Chapter at the University of Delaware aims to enhance our educational experience by fostering networking and exploring potential career opportunities within the expanding field of Human Resources. This student organization is officially affiliated with the national Society for Human Resource Management as a registered Student Chapter.

Membership is open to full-time, matriculated undergraduate students at the University of Delaware who align with the mission and objectives of this organization. Students from any major within the University are eligible to join.

The organization is dedicated to:

• Facilitate networking events that connect students with peers and HR professionals who share similar interests.
• Organize HR panels designed to educate and equip students for successful careers in Human Resources.
• Offer professional development workshops focused on enhancing students' readiness for the job and internship application processes. These workshops will provide opportunities for interview practice, resume development, and the creation of effective LinkedIn and online job profiles.
• Share valuable internship and job search insights through peer-to-peer exchanges between students and working professionals.
• Support the establishment of study groups for students enrolled in related Human Resource Administration (HRA) courses.
• Provide assistance in preparation for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) exam.
• Promote alumni networking and shadowing opportunities, along with potential visits to companies to foster professional connections.
